Commercial License
1. Overview
This license is issued by ZARIA s.c. (operator of metrico.studio). All metrico.studio subscriptions and credit packages include a Personal Use License covering personal use, gifts for family or friends, and permitted client work for individual clients as described in section 2 below.
The Commercial License grants additional rights for professional and commercial use beyond personal client work. See section 3 for details and section 6 for enquiries.
2. Personal Use License (included with all plans)
All subscribers and credit package purchasers receive at no extra cost the right to:
- Use generated patterns to make garments for yourself.
- Make garments as gifts for family members or close friends.
- Share printed patterns within a household.
- Use patterns for educational or teaching purposes in non-commercial settings.
- Sew for an individual client — you may enter a client's measurements, generate a pattern, and use it to produce a garment for that specific client, including as part of paid sewing, made-to-measure, or alterations services. Each pattern is for one client and one garment; this does not include reselling the digital pattern file itself.
3. Commercial License — Rights Granted
Personal client work for a specific individual client is included in all plans. A separate Commercial License is required for broader business use, including product sales, studio operations at scale, small-batch production, or team workflows.
Subject to payment of the applicable Commercial License fee, you may additionally:
- Use generated patterns to produce garments or products for commercial sale (e.g. online shop, market stall, boutique).
- Operate a made-to-order or alterations studio using generated patterns at scale.
- Produce physical printed copies of a generated pattern for internal use or for the specific end client for whom the garment is being made. Providing such a printed copy to that specific client as part of the sewing or fitting service is permitted. Selling, publishing, redistributing, or offering printed pattern copies as standalone products requires a separate written agreement with ZARIA s.c.
- Use generated patterns in small-batch fashion production.
- Use generated patterns as part of a team or business workflow.
